Karin Rex, Geeky Girl Logo Goes Here

Images from Hong Kong

We docked in Hong Kong on the 2nd of October. For a die-hard shopaholic like myself, I was tingling with anticipation. I spent much of the first two days shopping, and enjoyed every minute of it. Then I headed for New Territories where I visited a Trappist Monastery. They served an 8-course vegetarian meal, which included fungus and flowers, and was delicious.

Victoria Peak gave a terrific view of Hong Kong and Kowloon--I made sure I went during both the daytime and the night time to see the lights. I also visited Aberdeen where people work--and sometimes live--on sampans (also called "junks") and take tourists for rides.
