Kristian Rex -- Bio

As a singer -songwriter and music producer from New York City, Kristian has produced and written songs and music for film, television, and advertising. Kristian wrote the theme song and weekly score music for the popular Disney/WB sitcom "Smart Guy" and also wrote and performed the hit single "Supernova Girl" for The Disney Channel's movie "Zenon, Girl Of The 21st Century". Kristian has produced and written commercials for major advertising campaigns such as Pepsi, Burger King, Mountain Dew, Gatorade, Coors, Miller Beer and AT&T featuring well-known artists such as Busta Rhymes, Mary J. Blige, Master P., Lauryn Hill, Corey Glover, Run DMC, Kid Capri, K7, and Larry Graham.

On September 11th Kristian watched the tragedy unfold on the television, knowing his wife was right there watching it all from her office behind 1 Liberty Plaza. Kristian's wife witnessed the second plane hit, the people falling, and cars exploding from fallen debris as she escaped just before the buildings collapsed.

Moved by this, Kristian wrote a song titled "We Will Never Live In Fear." Some of New York's best session players donated their time to help Kristian record the song. This included musicians from The Saturday Night Live, Sting's band, Paul McCartney's group, as well as the vocalists who sang behind Bette Midler at the Yankee Stadium memorial hosted by Oprah.

The words of the song are Kristian's but they reflect what everyone was saying and feeling...Colin Powell, Ashcroft, Rumsfield, Mayor Guiliani, and of course President Bush. The title of the song was a quote from Kristian's wife when he asked her if she could ever go back to work next to the site, and she replied: "you can never live in fear."

This song is Kristian's anthem for America. A song about strength and purpose, dedicated to the children and families of September 11th.
